Get a load of this from the front page of the Sunday, January 15, 2006 edition of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

It seems that some parents believe their children are "indigos", meaning that they have psychic abilities and a deep blue aura. This has become somewhat of a movement since the 1980's. On January 27 to 29 there will be a new documentary movie called "The Indigo Evolution" showing at 500 churches and community centers around the world. It will be shown at the Health & Wellness Center at Doylestown Hospital and the Center for Peace.

The first sightings of Indigo Children was in 1982 when a clairvoyant named Nancy Ann Tappe claimed that she can see colored auras surrounding people and she was startled top see children with a new deep blue aura.

Also jumping on the band wagon is a psychotherapist named Doreen Virtue. You can check her out at her website: http://www.angeltherapy.com/

Ms Virtue's therapy includes the summoning of angels and here is the first paragraph from her web page about Angel Therapy.

Angel Therapy is a non-denominational spiritual healing method that involves working with a person's guardian angels and archangels, to heal and harmonize every aspect of life. Angel Therapy also helps you to more clearly receive Divine Guidance from the Creator and angels.

I don't know about you but I happen to be just a wee bit skeptical about this matter.

Even worse then what the article has to say is the fact that it appears on the front page of the Philadelphia Inquirer, which if you are not aware, is considered to be the newspaper of record for the state of Pennsylvania. Could this article not have been buried away deeply in some less newsy section of the paper? Apparently not.
