What I often find fascinating about conspiracy theories is that many, if not most, involve huge numbers of people all of whom are super clever in their deceit.
Some 9/11 conspiracy buffs point toward President Bush as being the master mind of a huge consipracy to bring down the Twin Towers, start a war with Iraq, funnel money to Haliburton Corporation, etc. Yet Bush is also maligned as being stupid and incapable of doing anything right.
So how does such a dope engineer a vast conspiracy? Hire Karl Rove. That is how.
But ... if Karl Rove is all that capable and malevolent then why does he not just take over the United States and run things himself? Perhaps he is just a pawn of .... THE BILDERBERGERS!!!!
