Response to Re: "Reality is what reality is." |
| The author, Lawrence LeShan, clearly discusses what he identifies as the four major classes of realities:
1. The Sensory Modes of Being (What I believe you refer to as "Objective Reality".)
2. The Clairvoyant Modes of Being
3. The Transpsychic Modes of Being
4. The Mythic Modes of Being
It is instructive that, in his lists of "the basic limiting principals" of each mode of being, that the last principal of EACH mode is, "This is the only valid way to regard reality. All other ways are an illusion."
Al, I believe the sole difference between your concept of reality and mine is that You cannot see AT ALL beyond the sensory (scientific?) modes of being, while I, while largely in your camp as well, am willing to consider aspects of the clairvoyant mode of being based on the growing scientific evidence that supports them. Of course, you will continue to deny that any such scientific evidence exists. For that reason, I am sorry for you.
