Is there a cost to attend? If it were free it might have a certain appeal to novelty. If it costs anything that appeal is minimized.
I was recently out that way at a lecture by Robert Ballard. He is the guy who found the Titanic. Really interesting stuff. He is a scientist ... not a New Ager.
