Response to Interesting ....

I took a look at the links section and found a homepage for someone with the first name 'Eric'. Providing that this is, indeed, the page you were referring to as "Eric's page" then I must admit that I found no reference to the claims of Steorn.

Here's an article that just hit the web one hour before I posted this reply:

It, too, casts aspersions at the claim, as do both you and I, but this journalist doesn't have much to go on factually, either. Here's a company, Steorn, that's been around, presumably making a living, for "many years", they say, in the high-tech field, with successes in the high-tech fraud detection arena, which is their primary focus. They also do high-tech research. They make this claim, and spent a lot of money to make it. This money doesn't seem to be recouperable to me. They didn't just post on a website that they made this thing, they dropped an amount of money that must be in the range of $100K USD to promote this idea. How are they going to make this money back if the thing doesn't work? That's my question.

I'm taking a 'wait and see' attitude at the moment. I'd like to see where this goes. I imagine that many if not most over-unity folks would claim that their invention works, and if only they had the money to publicize it.... well these guys have the money. At the very least this should be interesting.
