The problem is not at all what people believe.
The problem is what people actually do.
I don't care if you believe in fairies or tarot or anything else but when that is used to justify fraud or violence then I do care. Atheists are not immune from that and militant atheism certainly can have that fervour of fundamental religion. A pox on both houses.
Just because I am an atheist does not mean I have much appreciation for crusading atheists.
