Here are some excellent disclaimers to put in the front of textbooks.

Thanks for that website, Glenn. As it so happens that is the website of Dr. Colin Parrington who was a PhACT speaker about a year ago. He is an evolutionary biologist at Swarthmore College and seems to be a realy cool guy.

If you have noticed on some PhACT mailings there is a little picture of Charles Darwin and the caption "Charles Darwin has a posse". Dr. Parrington had a bunch of stickers that he handed out and I scanned one to get it into my computer. I can see myself using some of these stickers too.

I hope we can get him to one day be involved with PhACT. What a gem.

And here's something to go along with the stickers

Although the title and the tone of the article are a bit harsh for some, I do enjoy venting now and then, and I like this.

In very few words Dawkins hit at the heart of the matter.

I am constantly amazed at the fervor displayed by leaders in this debate ... the Creationist leaders I mean. They are not stupid people and they know very well that they are saying is not truthful, yet they persist relentlessly. My feeling is that they want to be big fish in their ponds and that is the way they do it. Sylvia Browne is a similar sort of person. She fully knows that she can not talk to the dead or foresee the future, yet she persists in her sham.

In both cases, the Creationists and the Psychics, there are multitudes of vulnerable people willing to be duped, and likewise there are a multitude willing to be the "leaders" weather for fame of a dubious nature, or fortune so abundant that a bulldozer is needed to move it around.
