Does it count if i've already looked ino this topic some time ago? Its been floating around the internet for many years.
JH is a Canadian scientist who apparently discovered some strange unexplained effects when messing around with tesla coils and electrostatic machines. He claims to have made things float around as if gravity were gone or reversed. There are videos of this on the internet. He also caused dissimilar materials to blend together such as wood and metal. This effect seems as if the wan der waals forces were some how canceled out, allowing a piece of wood to sink into a piece of aluminium.
Hutchinson was not able to replicate his experiments, but scientist have examined the metal samples and are mystified. Its is also claimed that his 'lab' (his house) has been raided by government agencies to remove equippment.
I've got some gadgets that I'm sure they would want. Unfortunately it's all jammed in the back of my shed. They'll just have to wait for spring cleaning or they can move everything out themselves (yeah that's the ticket). Hey government guys come over and clean out my shed. Never works for me.
Photographs and videos like Hutchenson's don't show a wide angle view. So you don't know what's going on. Maybe the view is better on the tape that he sells.
What follows is the latest news rom John Hutchinson. It is from his own web site dated June 23, 2002.
It seems that Mr. Hutchinson is happy to report a successful levitation, and the video tape should be available in the near future, presumably that meant in 2003 or 2003.

I am happy to report another successful levitation experiment
as of two months ago now. The event was videotaped by Mr. Yamabe of
Japan. It is hoped that copies of the videotape will be available
for distribution in the near future.
Information about the availability of videotapes from various
sources is found in the menu at left.
...and apparently fair and square, per my opening admonition.
By now, you've likely looked him up again, via Google (he's now been raided TWICE, according to his website). I saw a VHS tape he has published and his effects appear to be really wild. I have heard of similar effects (specifically, low-temperature softening of structural "re-bar", due to large-diameter ball-lightning strikes).
BTW, Richard, welcome to this mad-house called PhACT Board. This is the first post by you I remember seeing.

PS: Ray, it's now "legal" to Google Hutchison, but I'll bet you already have.
