Need your help: Which background looks better?

Hello,

I've tried a white and a brown background for my kit and both look good IMHO. Since the pics will be featured in a magazine, which background is the better one when it comes to showing it in a magazine? Here're some comparison pics:










Although the white background seems to have better lightning, I somehow think the kit with brown background with the direct light looks more more lively and interesting...

What would you choose for featureing it in a magazine?
