The brown looks good as it is artistic but it mutes the colours and creates lots of shadows on the lower hull and some of the details are not visible. Smaller images in an article may be difficult to see.
The white background is bright but it allows the modeller to see all the details of the project.
I suggest submitting both sets of images with your article and the magazine Editor can make the final decision as to what will look the best in the article.
