Stick with teh dance lessons, but look around for a new dance studio to join, as an arrogant prick sounds like no fun....(and I am a dancer so I have met a few!! its hilarious when thy are teh only dance teacher in town and THEY SUCK....heading for toupee land I imagine)

I am not much on psy lately BUT I will say that taking dance lessons (salsa) has opened up a whole new social world for me, salsa lessons, clubbing twice a week, salsa conventions, Hawaii, Puerto Rico Miami etc...
every weekend parties to go to....after we threw one of course...

ballroom may not hae as many participants locations or outlets but salsa has given me SO MUCH....

but yeah I know what you mean when you have to get out and about....does your dance group go out to try out their skills at the local club after? that is where the circle of new people got better for me. not perfect, but better than getting glommed on at the local book club by some desperado who missed hygiene class.....

it aint easy!! but you know if you are single then you have to keep making the effort tomeet people and build relationships...
