Tell the nurses they make terrible managers and see what happens. Good grief.
Management practices are not things we're born with. They have to be learned. Being fair and impartial is just about impossible but there are ways to keep check on it. Nurses can be great managers when they take some basic courses on it, and apply the skills to their work. What they graduate with from nursing school however, just doesn't cut it.
