Response to Code of Ethics: Revisiting

I just googled for a bit and am shocked to see that CNA's don't have a code of ethics. I know as a nurse the code of ethics is there to help protect my license but a certification of a CNA should be protected as well.. without it they often have little to fall back on as far as work skills as would I if I lost my license. On the other hand I have met many a nurses who wouldn't know what a code of ethics is never mind follow it, I'm sure the same can be said with CNA's .. good and bad everywhere. I know without my CNA's my facility would be a mess.. they do 90% of the hands on these days, see the residents on a daily basis, and often know their baseline status better then the nurse. They are my eyes and ears and can usually pick up when something isn't right before it becomes obvious to others.
