I will admit it.. I am a nurse and am aware I am a bad manager. Instead of my CNA's coming to me for manager issues, or having to deal with Bobby Sue who has been late every day this week.. I would rather they come to me cause Mrs. Smith looks as if she had the atomic bomb explode on her and they need help with a shower, getting the clothes together, changing the bed while she is in the tub etc.. Hands on care was my bread and butter for many years and I don't want to forget it for 1 minute. I never look down on my aides for the work they do.. I love that they feel they can come to me when they are short or just fed up and need an extra set of hands weather they be nurses hands or CNA hands.. but please don't make me have to talk to you about punctuality, cutting corners etc.. I hate that stuff...
