Joyanna, here is my take on the world of work (long)May 7 2008 at 11:48 PM | xtech64 |

| Joyanna, you are generalizing way too much. You are taking just a few bad experiences in long-term care and assuming that every area of health care is exactly like that. It is so important to be aware of what you are focusing on at any time, because whatever it is you do focus on will increase in your life. It is also so important to be in control of how you react to things, regardless of what is going on. If you are going to take care of the sick, you have to get both of those things going at the same time whether you are in this for the care, or just the cash. I am in this for the care. I have a 4 year university degree from a really good state school, and i hated every bit of the first job i landed with that degree. because I was in it for the cash, and the cash was good. I didn't last long. If taking care of the sick doesn't fulfill you, don't even do it. The money isn't all that great, you can get injured permanently in a heartbeat. Sounds like you know what it's like to deal with families, and to be bossed around by people younger than you are. Here's a quote to get you thinking before your head hits the pillow "Do you think that death will somehow fail to catch us all no matter what we are doing?...what do you want to be doing when death catches you? If you have anything you believe is more important to have done or be doing when death comes, get to work on that. That was said by Epictetus, a greek slave in ancient times, around 55-135 AD. We're about halfway through 2008, and it sends chills up my spine whenever I read it. Like I have said in previous posts, try as many things as you can, as you soon as you can so that you can find what makes you come alive. Is it taking care of the sick? Think carefully about your next move. There's nothing more important than the quality of the thoughts that run through your head.
peace always,
