A reminder:
This is not a recruitment forum.
Please don't come here seeking CNA's for work...look in your own local papers and place ads there.
This isn't the place to be debating whether an employment offer is a good deal or not in the manner it's being presented here.
CNAs: Remember you cannot offer yourselves as service providers using the title, "CNA".
A CNA must work under the supervision of an RN. We cannot work as independent contractors without the nurse supervision factor. To do so could lead us to legal problems. Only the nurse can delegate duties to us...when we're working as a CNA. In many states now the Boards of Nursing have been checking out the newspapers looking for people who call themselves CNAs who are offering "nursing services" for pay. These folks are quickly learning they're breaking laws and some have lost their certifications over this.
We can work for anyone we wish, using non nursing titles. "Companion", "caregiver", are great alternatives to use. We can list past experiences as a CNA; we can state we are current CNA's, but we cannot use these credentials as a basis for offering our skills.
Stay legal. |
