In Illinois it is. You have to be registered with the state and actively working. I believe if you don't work as a cna for a year or longer, you will have to take the course all over again, which costs about 800 to 1200. I was lucky to find a non-profit community shool that offered it for free other than the cost of uniforms for clinical and the state testing fee.
You are also required to have a TB skin test and a Hepatitis B vaccination is recommended. |
