Hi all,
this is important I just got a email telling me that it is now possible to buy new domain extensions so hurry up maybe you could make some good money!

I was wondering what were the names of those famous domains sold for millions?

Domains OTHER THAN "dotcom" are practically worthless. Maybe in 20 or 30 yrs, some of the extensions will be "branded" the same as the dotcoms BUT for now, no.

I have friends who own "dotnet" names and their customers are constantly using the dotcom ext. And dotnet has been around for some time.

I sure understand why you perlied in this way but first of all I want you to look at the situation I am facing here :

I won't tell what the name of the domain is but the extension is .Shop and the name I want to buy is a market growing by 60%-90% every year in profits and the name is branded by a very famous new company making 500,000,000$ every 6 months since 2000 and still growing, now do oyu think this is a good investmen I am sure that if ICANN accepts the new extensions soon that I will make at least 10,000,000$ since this company previosly opened many shops and they do need this extension!

The problem is that I need a browser plug in to see new extensions but I truly believe that they will be accepted since allready over 200,000 people own them!

Please tell me your thoughts on this is this a good investment of 35$ a year ?

(now please remember that since this market is growing even if I cant sell the name to the company I can still sell it to others in the same market)

Hi again all,
and thanks for the nice replies,
now I've been thinking about this alot and I came upp with a idea that must work what if I opened a company that has the exact same name as my domain name including the extension/s now what has more power a company with the exact same name as the domain or a company that is famous but has a nother company name ?

Now I think it is un-rightfull to give a site owner the right to own all the extensions!

1) http://www.ebook.com or ebook.net(its the same company)

2)(caution this link is a porno link with pop-ups;-)) http://www.ebook.info (it is another person that owns the domain name)
