DIC got GI Joe way from Sunbow by producing the show at a loss, since then they've been part of destroying the animation industry. When the Sunbow GI Joe cartoon was done, Marvel and Sunbow hired American union actors, editors, mixers, and paid a Japanese studio a very decent price to animate their show. DIC sent the voice work to Canada, the animation to the Korea and then the Philippines, and now much of their post production is done in China.

DIC repackaged the Sunbow GI Joe episodes for syndication, replacing the original theme song with the DIC theme song, in which Andy Heyward received a portion of the royalities.

DIC is EVIL! It's the same type of company of Saban, just less profitable.

It's not like we're not fans of DIC's other work, We've spent over well over 5K on Pole Position cels. That should tell you a little on the level of fandom. DIC was a fine company until they put Sunbow out of businesss and ruined the animation industry.
