I inquired here a few months ago about the springs. According to the replies I got my spring pressure was not enough to worry about taking out the inner spring. (320) So to answer your question, no I have not taken out the inner spring. If any sugested otherwise I would gladly take them out. This is the second build on this motor without ever puting the car in gear so I am wanting to take all precautions. The first motor ate the cam on the break in but not because of lube it was because of no thrust plate. The builder forgot it. The cam walked around and ate the lobes off it and the lifters. Fortunatly the builder acknowledged his mistake (he had to, the thrust plate was still sitting on his bench) and this motor was on him. I still wound up spending around a grand making upgrades that I wanted to make so a mistake now would be devistating. Financialy it would be over for a while. |
