It's an XC, so in that case it's a Bosch. I haven't had the chance to do any checks as of yet, because the car is in the shed at my folks' house. I hope it's the carb then. I'll take it off and clean it and put a gasket kit through it, and check the ignition as described. If it does turn out to be stuck valves though, what is the best solution for remedying this? If it means the best option is to remove the heads then I don't mind, because I have been planning on overhauling the engine and putting a 3.5" crank in. |
