Judging for Star

Next year is my filly, Velvet's, judging for Star. Does anyone have any advice or tips on how to train her to get her legs under her more? Also, does anyone have any good grooming tips? I've heard about feeding the suppliment "Black as Night" during early spring, summer, and fall.
