You wont find a more beautiful horse that is so kind and brave and smart and so ready and willing to learn all you have to teach it. They are calm and laid back and love to learn. I have not met or heard of a Friesian that wasn't this way. The way they carry themselves, the shining black coat, the thick mane, flowing wavey tail, and silky feathers, all combine to turn all the heads at any show. Your farrier will love them too as they have solid sound feet that rarely need shoes. They are so people oriented that some horses actually prefer humans to other horses. They are fairly easy keepers when kept on pasture and grain. You can ride them or drive them or use them for vaulting or dressage. The thing that strikes me most about them is the feeling one gets when looking into their eyes and seeing all the kindness and affection and joy of life, as they put their nose in your hand. Friesians are amazing horses.
