Have you tried picking the closest approximation, or did you just leave it set to no sound? I know my SB Live has no trouble emulating earlier Creative cards, so that's worth a shot. If you still don't get any sound, I'd guess that you need to find a set of DOS drivers for your card. Poke around the install disk, the card manufacturer's website, etc.
