Well, i suppose just because it's old and you can't get parts from camping shops anymore, doesn't mean that it's a bad stove/light.
For example, can you think of any LPg stove that is better than an Optimus 111, a SVEA123 or a Primus 96?
It's quiet hard to get parts for them now (well, at least in shops), but theyre much better than any stoves you can buy now.
As for lanterns, the LPG ones are nothing compared to petrol. A Coleman Peak1 lantern is very light, but i think the 242 is the best. It's concidrably heavier than an LPG lamp, but it does kick out a full 300CP.
My advice (if anyone is interested) is: If you think that your old stove is better than the new ones, than it probably is. Keep it somewhere safe untill you can ge the right parts. |
