can anyone explain the processes to create the different dials we see on our Royal Oak AP's?
the 4 main dial types i see are:
small squares (RO) with a waffle texture
big squares (SHAQ) with a waffle texture
big squares (ROO) with no waffle texture
Big squares and lines outside (Scuba/Alinghi) with waffle texture
at first i thought and was told "CNC'd" but i feel the waffle texture is part of the original material and its maybe sucked into a mold with the squares? i figured if pressed it would eliminate the waffle texture of original material?
or am i thinking completely wrong? very interested to hear the manufacturing process that goes into creating the dials of our RO(C/O) watches
