Trimble genealogy

My name is Robert Trimble. I am searching for information that may link me to Judge Robert Trimble of Trimble county Kentucky. I have only been able to connect my family to Fayette County Texas (1840)I know that my 3rd GEN Grandfather, William James.Trimble came from Missouri and settled in Texas before he was captured by the Mexicans and taken to Perote Mexico where he died in prison.
