Is it my imagination, or are we seeing more teams recruiting these days? Heard rumors of some teams been disbanded, and more posting here needing paddlers. If its getting harder to fill the boat, which then means smaller festivals, and some festivals being cancelled altogether.

Does all this mean Dragonboating participation is on the decline. Old foggies moving on, and not enough new interest?

Recruitment doesn't necessarily mean people are leaving a team. Rather, it could also mean that people are getting kicked out of a team in favour of some better, recruited paddlers.

Or that teams are expanding their pool of recuitment, rather than handpicking their friends from other teams.

Add to that practice sites shutting down. There's a good argument that dragon boat in Toronto is no longer growing.
