I would like to know about the standing stroke. If anyone out there can point to any resource I can educate myself, I appreciate it very much.

Not allowed in races, pointless to train for, nobody uses it in North America.

Is there a team that tried standing in a BUK?
Lighter boat must make it hard to do?
A tek boat will do?
Let us know

If there is a style of paddling to move my boat faster or give an extra edge in the last charge to the final buoy, I wanna learn about it.

Morever if such resources are available and if people starts learning the standing stroke, maybe IDBF will change its rules.

go to asia the teams there are the fastest because of the standing technique but don't use it if you haven't practiced it or else it will just slow you down or get DQ

The closest I saw to standing was done by the sloths .They all kneel on 1 leg in the boat on the start but their butts still touch the seats .Not sure if they stayed that way through the race though
