The results always speak for themselves.
Including the Senior Results.
Montreal women - back to the drawing board.
OHDBC Women - perhaps a few of them might rethink their abilities.

Is there a link to the results somewhere?

No need for that

"OHDBC Women - perhaps a few of them might rethink their abilities"
Rather than make snide remarks about them I think they should be congratulated for having the courage to step up and compete against a group that has been an almost unbeatable paddling powerhouse for years now.
Teams should be encouraged to compete, not laughed at behind their backs by anonymous posters. I'm signing my name on this as a challenge to you to do the same. Either that, or keep you sniping to yourself.
So good on you for competing, OHDBC ladies, and good luck at the Club Crews!
And congrat's to the "crewsers" for once again earning the sanction to represent Canada at the World Championships. The way you were kicking our butts on Thursday mornings, I had no doubt.

The first two races were won by Toronto against False Creek.

the OHDBC ladies made the trek and paddled with the best crews in the country. Well done all 3 crews. This just shows how dominate our women are.
Canadian women rock!

In the 1000 open ,Toronto just edged out FCRCC by less that 1/2 a second I believe .Time was around mid 3.40's .In the 500 again TO just edged out FCRCC at the finish w/ a mid 1.40 something .The 200 it appeared FCRCC spun their wheels on the start and TO edged them out by 4 seats maybe,To had a 40 and FCRCC was a 42
Awesome races to watch .Fcrcc gave them 1 heck of a race and earned some respect I think .They were so close coming down the course and at times it was back and forth .Congrats to both teams for jobs well done
The Premier mixed was the same w/ TO just barely pulling it off on FCRCC at the finish and both races it was hard to tell who won .
The national womens team rocked, they were very strong and solid
Some very fast times today ,seniors up tomorrow

Where are all these results coming from? People that were there? Second hand? If every little festival out there can publish their results, surely there is a website for the National Team Trials!!!

This is the first time this event was run entirely volunteer. Give the organizers a break, they looked pretty burnt.

Fast times were a combination of the Welland course depth (deep = fast) and a tail wind all day. Still those times are awesome. Congrats to all who dared to go to trials.

Senior Men's and Mixed Results
August 9 2006, 8:42 PM
For all 3 distances, the order of finish was 1) OHDBC (Jim), 2) SNP (Mac), and 3) Toronto Masters.
OHDBC and SNP get the entries for Australia.
Today there was a light head wind. I think the winning 1,000 m time was about 3:52.
SNP (Mac) won the Senior Mixed 200 m, with OHDBC (Jim) 2nd, and Eat Trout third.
OHDBC won the Senior Mixed 500 m, with SNP 2nd. I didn't see who came 3rd, but I would expect it was Eat Trout.
OHDBC gets the first Australia entry for Mixed, and SNP gets the 2nd entry.

^^^ think about it.. they don't get "Australia's entry" they get one of the entries to represent Canada at the World Championships next year in Australia.

I came out with FCRCC, and i have to say that those were some incredible races for all teams in all divisions. we had beautiful weather and an appreciated tail wind. i sat out the 200m race where toronto obliterated us, and i have to admit that it was quite a humbling site to see. that team was incredibly fast and while they did have to fight for it, they earned that spot to Aus. who knows, maybe in 2yrs time we'll be able to edge them out.
