| - Just wondering what everyone is doing for winter training options out there. Renting gym or canoe club space? Working out on their own? How many teams stick with paddle pool throughout the winter?
Thanks |

We're on our own until about February when we hit the pool although we're expected to show up in reasonable shape.
Personally, I maintain the same level of cardio, although I adapt the activities to suit the weather conditions (ie. as many snow-sports as possible). For strength, I do a twice weekly mixed gym routine that (hopefully) matches my output during practice.
Dragon boats aren't the only thing I race so staying in-shape year-round is kinda key.
That's it in a nutshell. |

Last time I looked, False Creek was a West Coast team. I seem to remember being beaten quite handily by them at the CCWCs! |

Hmmm Gorging seemed to do pretty well against the best Quebec had to offer. Having paddled against them and other eastern teams I would say they would do quite well against the best Ontario has to offer as well. | |
