The problem is that they sometimes issue this newsletter through other sources, like Bob Lee's dragon boat forum (sometimes called the "boring" forum, because you have to register and no one flames) and don't always put them on the IDBF website.

Join the yahoo groups dragon boat forum and they have the latest newsletter there. I don't feel like doing your work for you. |

Yahoo group is stupid way to go about publishing things like IDBF newsletters. |

OK. I'm already on the Yahoo DB Group. the first respondent is clearly from a retarded team and had no idea what he was typing about. |

You know, I remember a day when even the biggest ****ing imbecile, loser, morons didn't dare to use the word retarded, because they always got smacked as kids, when they did.
The above ****ing imbecile, loser, moron excepted. |

Ha ha ha. The foul-mouthed mongoloid is all upset about being called out on his stupidity!
Listen, Einstein, next time don't pop off about a subject unless you know what the **** you're talking about. |

Douche, I was the one who told you the newsletter was on the Yahoo group. I agree that it's not the ideal way to distribute it. They (IDBF) do have their own website, right?
But you're still a dumbass. If you're already a member of the yahoo group, then you already have access to the latest newsletter and your original question is dishonest (because you already knew the answer) or stupid.
So why not just say "Why doesn't the IDBF not post their latest newsletter on their own website instead of a yahoo group?"
There. Done. No need to act stupid.
You're welcome. |

My initial question is not dishonest. Even in the Yahoo Group, the most recent IDBF newsletter is Jan 2006 (the same as on the IDBF web site). |

It's a newsletter like this that really makes me sorry to see DBW close up shop.
ALL GAISF, ALL THE TIME!
Gawds, you would think there would be something ELSE to talk about. |

Interesting to see which Festivals are added into the list.
GWN & TIDBF are not there, but Alcan is.
Shows what happens when Sharifa doesn't have her paws on a marketing event. |

"ALL GAISF, ALL THE TIME!"
I wonder how many times Mike Haslam wacked-off re-reading that newsletter? |

Does anyone else find it annoying to read a newsletter that contains posts from a message forum? |

YES!
And its from people who are in no position of authority to make comments that the rest of us should heed (in all due respect). Putting in the IDBF newsletter gives them credence. Credence that I don't think is deserved |

Who do you think writes that newsletter?
By the way, why don't you write some stuff for the newsletter instead of complaining? |

The IDBF newdletter doesn't seem open to contributions as (defunct) Dragon Boat World was. Also their sporadic publishing schedule ("hmmm, shall we wait three, seven, or 14 months before issuing our next edition?") doesn't encourage timely submissions. | |
