I was in Kagnew part of 69 and 70, I bought a Ducati from someone in Guard Co. Had the tank paited by the guy that owned the Ducati shop, he did a fine job on it.
My Ducati was a 4 stroke, single jug rode it all over the place there with other cyclist, got a kick out of the locals checking us out.
Went down the moutain on it many times, once I hit a patch of sand in a curve and was going way to fast and hit a guard rail tearing off my ritht foot peg, I was very lucky to have had a steel toed boat on at the time, it put a big gash in the boot and save my toes

I worked in HQ company doing the mail room and supply room also worked at the Commisary when I first got there.
Names I remember are Larry Payne and a guy named Bob who worked in the personnel office.
