| Most of us have experienced some form of prejudice either directly at us or towards our children. We know that kind of pain and sometimes we handle it well and sometimes not so well. Always though it hurts and it takes alittle piece of us, every time.
I just wan't to say that in the coming days, months, and years try to remember that pain when we question whether or not the person that we are sitting next to at our desks or meet at a party or are introduced to at a school function or speak to at a support group for parents/caregivers of children with autism etc. are really what they seem. Good? Bad? We don't know for sure but we have to try to give people the benefit of the doubt.
From what I have seen written by the people on this board, I think most of you agree. Some might say that it is hardly a time to be cautious.
My brother was on the 22nd. floor of the North Tower when it was hit and he survived. I can't describe the feelings of relief, sorrow and anger that I have felt. I am sure you all have felt that and are still feeling that and probably will for a long time.
I am grateful that he is alive and I wan't the monsters responsible to pay. Just like you do.
I just don't wan't innocent people to pay. | |
