Response to Their culture was stripped from women by the taliban,

It is the talk of genetics of autism that is oppressed by a group of people here now! LOL:) Research on anything but genes! Genes don't exist, but everything else does huh? Genes or talk about genes is a taboo! LOL:)

Cheryl, I do agree w what you are saying about those women. But it is like trying to eradicate "world hunger". You can't. They have to feel the need to be liberated and feel free to use their intellect! There are cultural differences even within USA. Don't tell me under the name of name of freedom, we are trying to mold everyone into our image! We are not GOD!

We have nude beaches, nudity shows and what not? Now if they told us what to do are we going to listen to them? Have you ever watched mardi gra festivals or MTV's "spring break previews" on college students? They take them off very freely. Or how about Jerry Springer show? If these things are okay in our society, then I think they should decide what is best for themselves. Education I agree is important. We all need education in certain things! LOL:)

Yes, I have seen those shows. I feel for those exploited women and kids. Esp the kids. But there is a limit as to how much of our tax payers money we can direct along w personnel, energy and sacrifice our people resources over there and for how long.
I read few books on Islam and they started to veil those women starting from early or late 16th century.
Now you are going to change them?

There are many kids who can't read in this country. My son's inclusion is gone to dogs. They did a great job w him for 8 years and it is reversed in 6th grade. Why? It is because how they set up "those indl transitions" for all normal kids and quite conveniently forgot kids like mine. Kids w autism can and will survive in inclusion, if things are kept to remain same as much as possible.

Those normal kids have to transition every 45mts, run from one end of the bldg to another end just to be in the next class by 7mts? Then they don't get to sit w their familiar friends. High functioning kids or kids who have no aides or who have IQ scores of 71-88, all feel isolated or left out. That causes a major emotional tension for most of them. why would they set those for failure like that?

Why can't the teachers move from class to class, instead of all students? they can keep all their lockers right outside their class rooms and give breaks for kids as they need to go to bath room etc?

It is not fair. The local education Board does not give a shit about kids w disabilities. Someone told me that they have to go thru their usual bureacucratic process and decide, which will take about ten years.
