I dont think he could have progressed as much as he has in the regular classroom...its too stimulating for him to concentrate no matter how they would set it up. But in his "self container" he has learned the names of colors, the alphabet, his numbers to 20 and can now read about 10 words. (He is progressing rapidly with the Edmark program.) Some kids do need a quiet environment to learn. Hes one of them. He is also more successful in the inclusion type activities, participating more...and I dont know if that would have been possible had the secluded ABA not been provided to him. If a child is getting quality - fun one to one instruction in the self contained setting it may be just what he needs to show great progress. It is what experts in ABA recommend...and I know its worked for Daniel.

And as long as a person sticks to debating the issue and not attacking the person, they may say anything they like....
