I'm finally getting around to reading some "older" posts... been pretty busy around here!
Anyway, autsimas you asked about my other babes.. I have a house full and would love more. Even at 38, I think I might have just one more.
I have 4 wonderful babies.
My oldest Melissa Ann is 14. She is a "young lady" by all standards. Growing into a beautiful southern woman. She is in gifted and accellerated classes in 9th grade. She plays percussion for the school concert band and does colorguard (flags) for the marching band. She also plays piano and is teaching herself the flute. She is outgoing, freindly and very charming. She wants to be a homeopathic pediatrician when she completes college.
Then I have Daniel Kelly, who is 7. He longer qualifies as "austistic" but delayed with autistic chareteristics. He is in first grade with an aid. Full inclusion classroom - with pull out for speach, resource and OT. He is currently doing math and reading on 2nd grade level. He enjoys construction equipment and like to play in his sandbox with the tractors and bull dozers. He makes roads and digs holes. He likes to ride bikes and play basketball. He is also really into using his play broom and dustpan and cleaning equipment and helps a lot on housecleaning days. (gee, if I could only get him to pick up his hot wheels!)Daniel also enjoys swimming in our pool. He has learned several strokes already and just started this past summer.
Next, I have Michelle Leigh. She is 4. She is really into dinosours! And likes all animals. She is already learning to read with a sight word vocabulary of about 100 words. She likes to color and do dot to dots, puzzles. She is our "resident paleontologist".
Finally, there is Thomas Bryan. Who is adored by all of us! He so social. Just a joy to have around.
All right, ya'all go ahead... but I can't help it. I'm a proud momma.
