<Ms. Fonda should be tried in a military tribunal on
treason...>
If that was ever possible, she (and probably some high-profile astronomically-priced attorneys) would welcome an opportunity to turn it into another publicity show. Only this time, instead of the North Vietnamese tank, she would straddle the First Amendment...

Actually, the beauty (or downside) of a military tribunal is that none of the First Amendmant rights and protections apply.

When in the military you do NOT have the right to speak your mind, you do NOT have the right to appointed counsel (although they almost always have one for you) and you do NOT have 5th Amendment protection. The military is not a democracy, and those who commit treason still face execution at the completion of the trial.

Why do you think that Bush wants bin Laden tried by tribunal rather than civilian or UN court?

And Ted Turner was actually a hero of mine until he hooked up with Jane. Now I must agree with you, I am thankful he does not try to run for higher office.
