Here are a few of Emily's spelling words this week - second grade: dainty, praise, quaint, tirade, disgrace, exhale.
If this is what they're doing in second grade, I can only imagine what a mainstream 6th grade class is like!
What is their goal in teaching him to spell? Does he read? It seems like if they are teaching spelling, it should be addressing an IEP goal. If the goal is so he can read the word, recognize the word, use the word, etc., whatever they are doing is obviously not working. | |
