Response to Interactive Metronome and your help

Ghastly site. heavy on eye candy and light on information. I think its interesting that they say "may" to so many of their claims and also that they screen the children for whom it would be effective. thats a good way of fiddling the statistics for efficacy. i wonder if they are as quick to turn away your dollars.

Actually, I know of children who have had drum lessons for this and it had good results. You dont get cute little printouts though - thats the gimick to hook parents in.

The thing that would concern me is that it says a session lasts an hour. thats a long time and one more thing that isolates the child whereas percussion or dance are more interactive.

I am sure it would be effective for some children, but I bet there are a lot of families who fork out a lot of money and cant get the child to participate, especially if they have aural sensitivity.
