That is the underlying point you are trying to make. He isn't "nice". People whose children are dying won't care about hat, believe me. To you, improving or saving lives seems to be of no value unless he is doing it the "nice" way. Will the victims of easily preventable diseases care whether the vaccine donor remembered the social "niceties" as he handed over the money? lol its an amusing image.
re tax: In the past, I have invested money in a venture which was related to a charity, profitable, recommended by my accountant and gave me a tax break. Do I feel guilty - NO WAY. Do I feel good about making a profit out of helping people. YES. Do I feel good about paying less tax. YOU BET. Am I an evil bad person - Nah. I tried, but I am not. I actually gave out a lot more money than I would normally give to charity because there was a good chance that I would get it back. And I did, and still supported the things I usually support. Some people got heavily subsidised housing and some of us got a bit of a break financially. And for a while, some people in the building trade which was in a slump had jobs. Sounds like a nice mutually beneficial business arrangement to me.
