hi merlin,
thank you for your reply.
about the middle sounds... do you think that there is something "different/wrong" in the process between hearing the sounds/words and when it comes out on paper when he tries to write which would be a diffrent outcome then when he speaks?
dono if am saying it right... what am meaning..
the reason am asking is this...
the suggestion you offered.. about rhyming.. he is excellent at rhyming...
infact it is a stim for him to repeat words that sound the same..
used to be as a younger child he would say stuff like...
"i'll huff n puff n huff n puff n huff n stuff n puff n huff n stuff n puff " on and on and on....
but now, he is actually ver quick witted and sometimes very funny about his rhyming
he will "sing" things like (this week its been the following):
i went down the hall
lookin for a ball
then went into a stall
but dont like to fall

he sort of sings like a rap singer these types of things over n over.....
he really .likes rhyming.. so if he can say it and thnk of the words quickly, but if he was to try to write those words... (like the ones in his little song) he woudl only propably spell the "i", "the", "to", "for", and "a" correct.
any suggestions in trying to decipher this for him.. had never really looked at what types of mistakes hemakes.. since pretty much everything he spells is incorrect n didnt really know where to begin looking at the types of mistakes he is making..
but the last few weeks have paid lots of attention because been reading on a Sensory Integration Disfunction list and there found things about the different types of spelling mistakes some kids were making... that discussion a few weeks back instigated the idea of looking at sons mistakes...

any further suggestions/ideas/thoughts are welcome merlin.
