| very much unusual events here.
wednesdays story is written allready.
wednesday night at 5 minutes before midnight the hydro stopped coming.
what was the worst was that the canada hockey game was on the opympics and there was only 5 minutes left inthe game and the canadians were winning by only onegoal and could watch the rest... aarrrgghh...
(they won in the end heard on radio next day when found batteries for the radio)
by morning the house was only 40 F (about 7-10C) a little cold.
we left the house and went to the landlords hunt camp near by. it is always open. it is just a little camp where he stayes when he goes hunting.
there was a little karosene heater in there.
it took until 5PM tursday for the hydro to return.
then the phone stopped working..
friday afternoon the phone returned too,.
today is beautiful.
LOTS of snow all over the trees...
it was that what caused teh hydro problem.
so much snow in trees that they couldnt hold it all up and branches started falling down from the weight.
and had fallen on hydro lines.
am lucky to have hydro.
the news says there are over 200 homes in this area with no hydro yet,.
also we are lucky because when the hydro went out it was only about 35F outside and not too cold.
but by thrusday night it went down to -20C ... thats almost -10F.
glad it was not that cold on the night we had no heat.
