Response to "why it is not aspergers syndrome=me"

1. andrew is right. i have never thought of you as aspergers. your writing is completely different. you autistic.

2. saying aspergers would have no insight into difficulties is garbage. when I was 5 years old i tried and tried to tell adults what was different about me and they would not listen. i had a good understanding about aspergers even though i didnt know the word. tony attwood says asperger can have great insight into themselves, autistic more so i think.

3. special interest - often in women this is not as intense as for men. some people have several interests or interests change over the years but they are not like nt hobbies. for a long time, caring for my children was my interest and everyone tried to make me focus on them less. I had to be focussed to look after them. not enough energy to do many things.

4. metaphor - i am stunned. its well documented that people on spectrum often have a very sophisticated use of metaphor.

5. existential philosophy - well that dr is a fool. many philosophers are on spectrum. zen very autistic philosophy and both are intellectually rigorous in different ways.

There is an article about women and Asperger Syndrome
http://www.tonyattwood.com/paper1.htm

maybe write to tony attwood and ask if he knows a diagnostician near you. send him an account of your life. I did that. he does what he can to help people.
