yes, some people like being mean

I cannot think of any good reason for it to be so, but it is true, there is a meanness in this world.

One way it happens is that when people are very young, they live very hard lives at the hands of very mean parents. So when they are developing their own personalities, that is the imprint that is made.

For many other people life is very hopeless and very cruel. They do not see thier desires fulfilled, and they live in various degrees of desperation as they count down their minutes. For people like this, it can be very difficult to improve their own situation because they lack the tools to do so, belief in themselves, hope, money to effect change, the intelligence to think of new ways of achieving...

It is far easier for people like this to make themselves feel better not by building themselves up, but by tearing someone else down. We see this happen in politics all the time, and also the tabloid journalism. We see it also when we deal with the schools. They can't accept that their way of working with children can be anything less than perfect, so the fault must lie with the parents and the child.

See attacks like this for what they truly are; the pathetic attempts at hurting others by bullies. Do not let mean words dampen your spirit ghostie. Those of us who would call you friend know the truth of your heart and the beauty of your spirit.

And if she comes back and tries for round two, gimme a yell and I will explain her error to her in terms even she will understand.
