i learned the hard way that many people in mixed chat say one thing to me in private or away from that forum and another in front of ops or they stay silent and watch injustice. the thing about mixed fora is that there is always someone who rages that the children are never going to be "normal" and the spectrum adults are a constant reminder of that. My worst experience was being asked to come into a chat to help a newbie. when i got there, the person who invited me was slamming the autism only chat she had intruded on. I have often seen people in those chats put aside their beliefs to go along with the majority. there is a word for that behaviour in australia. suckhole.
