in the MB, because it is just a way to describe his functional or performance. He is a retarded child w autism and I have accpeted that a long time ago. I have no problem w that and as such I don't consider that to be insulting or punitive.
Why do you think they call ASSN for REtarded citizens?

Retardation is just a term used to describe certain levels of functioning in a person.
My son has severe autism w MR. He perseverates as well as echoes things, he had heard in his envt. He is a classical case of Kanners.
What about yours?
