they chase ....
porcupines.
second time rain did it.
first time jasper did it.
last time rain did it, it was not serious enough...
this time... he couldnt swallow, was drooling...
his mouth couldnt be closed....
he HAD to go to vet...
Jasper's mouth seemed to be stuck shut.
some went through his upper lip, down towards the lower.. through it...
couldnt even get enough out to open his mouth..
both dogs drooling bloody.

today is the day had been waiting for...
there was a workshop at the native health centre..
to learn now to make porcupine quill boxes...

the dogs went out to get quills...
the same morning...
as am going to do this...
luckily there was a driver coming...
took dogs to vet...
$451.00 later both dogs are at home..
sedated totally on valium laying on the patio...
what a day...
will remember this day now too.
it was just saturday december 1st at 6:39PM came home to find Jasper bleeding to death... now, it was April 23rd at 7Am found the dogs with their quill mouths..
what a year....
