A bit confused now

I am unsure what a post about HIV has to do on an ASD forum I read it and can not see any signs of a link?Also I read through the 'heated debate' about adults with autism.In the last 8months I have read various books and managed to hear one lady speak all in an attempt to understand my son a little more.One thing I have learnt is their is no point in arguing from the heart it cannot be understood ,as being to emotional.The autistic person can not read your signals the way you want to be read.You have to be clear,precise and wait for the information to be understood.There is no point taking offence because it is not offered.I do not want to reopen the debate but I am new to this and I want to help my son any way I can to be able to cope with society,when he needs to.If my impressions are wrong please let me know I want to learn, not to take offence.And I can only do this by considering lots of different opinions,obviously no 2 people will believe exactly the same thing.Dawn.
