You dont actually have to lie if say someone asks you if you like their dress or something. You can say one thing you like about it, such as the fabric or the colour. It gets hard sometimes to find a positive. I do not really understand why someone would ask that if they didn't actually want to know. also, if lying is acceptable, you would never get pleasure from a compliment because you would never know if it was the truth.
As far as people asking how you are and not wanting to know, aaaaaaaaaaaargh!!! It is definitly not courtesy to not care if someone is fine or not. sounds more like callous to me.
i remember seeing those statistics about lies and being horrified. i hadnt realized how much people deliberatly fool each other. | |
